Writing Instruments
About This Product
Designed for professionals who demand peak performance, this all-stainless steel tactical pen balances strength with refined craftsmanship. The hardened glass-breaker tip is positioned at the tail cap — the natural end to strike in an emergency — ensuring immediate access without re-gripping. For professionals in transport, logistics, field service, or remote work, this pen discreetly integrates emergency preparedness into a daily carry tool.
The mirror-polished 303 stainless steel surface reflects a commitment to precision manufacturing. Full modular disassembly allows tool-free refill replacement in under 30 seconds, ensuring this pen functions as a reliable daily writer for the long term. An ideal corporate gift for professionals who demand both preparedness and precision.

How durable is the stainless steel surface against scratches?
The mirror-polished 303 stainless steel offers excellent resistance to daily wear. While minor traces may appear over long-term use, these are considered a natural patina of the metal rather than structural damage.
Isn't the weight a bit too heavy?
The 102.8g weight is an intentional design choice to provide deliberate tactile feedback and enhanced stability during use. It increases grip control and the overall perceived quality of the tool without adding unnecessary bulk.
Is corporate logo customization supported?
Yes. The smooth, flat areas of the pen body and the clip are designed for precision branding. Please contact us to discuss laser engraving or other customization options to align with your corporate identity.
How should the polished surface be maintained?
Simply wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleaners. The all-metal construction is designed to be maintenance-free for both daily and outdoor professional use.
303 vs 304 vs 316 Stainless Steel
303 SS contains added sulfur (0.15–0.35%) for improved machinability — critical for the precision CNC turning required for pen body threads and glass breaker housing. 304 is the food-grade standard but galls (seizes) during machining. 316 adds molybdenum for marine-grade corrosion resistance. For a tactical pen, 303 delivers the optimal balance of machinability, hardness (HRC 40–45), and corrosion resistance.
Tungsten Carbide Glass Breaker Physics
Tungsten carbide (WC) has a Vickers hardness of 1500–2000 HV — approximately 3× harder than hardened steel and 8× harder than glass (500–700 HV). The conical tip concentrates the impact force into a point area of <1mm², creating stress concentrations of >100 MPa in tempered automotive glass — well above its 30–50 MPa fracture threshold. This is why a 100g pen can break a car window that a 5kg hammer might bounce off.
Weight as a Design Feature
At 102.8g, this pen is 4–5× heavier than a standard office pen (18–25g). This is intentional: the mass provides gyroscopic stability during writing, and the weight distribution (heavier at the glass breaker end) creates a natural pendulum effect that keeps the writing tip oriented downward. For emergency use, the extra mass increases impact energy (E = ½mv²) at the glass breaker tip.
